Improved over 470 points

I would like to give a huge thanks to Alex Leopold for his work with my 20-year-old son. My son had not completed high school for numerous reasons—however, he had found his dream university in England while traveling and made it his goal to attend there. He took the steps to get enrolled including completing his GED. The final step was passing the SAT with a score of 1100 or higher.

While I was unsure of how to address the needs he had, we decided a tutor would work for him to try to make sure he passed the test. I found Alex on Facebook and he and my son spoke and began working together. The result was my son improving from his early sample score to his final passing score over 470 points! Alex thought he was even capable of getting a perfect score on the reading and writing section (he was close). So, off to England he goes in the fall….

Alex was excellent at working with my son’s learning disabilities and test anxiety. He forged a great working relationship immediately and they navigated the intense study needed to cover all the material as well as test-taking strategy. Alex went above and beyond, contacting the university to communicate with them and advocate for further testing if necessary. He was a wonderful communicator to me, as parent--for every session and lesson he would send a summary. He was also available by phone and welcomed all questions about my son’s status.

On test day, everything went smoothly. My son was not anxious and felt he knew what he needed to pass well. After the test, he said nothing was a surprise and felt confident that he had passed.
