Learning Company works with students across six time zones, acting as their incubator for drive and self-discovery. We operate in three key domains: SAT & ACT, college admissions, and academic skills. Through our unique discovery sessions, we have enabled our enrollees to attain admission to a plethora of competitive programs in the US and UK as well as impressive score increases, such as 470 points on the SAT. Founder
For five years, Alex Leopold’s capacity to strengthen his students’ mindset has produced exceptional results. His strategy combines robust Socratic instruction with an ability to contextualize academic efforts in larger personal stories.
A 99th-percentile SAT scorer and a $50,000 merit scholarship recipient, Alex knows the returns that astute educational investment can bring. For him, earning those returns is a product of self-exploration, goal-setting, and persistence.
Alex is a veteran of the testing and college admissions game, having worked with over 100 students in all formats and class sizes. As a Mandarin and Arabic speaker, he has unique insight into what it means to learn and teach the most difficult subjects. While most educators only possess knowledge of their content area, Alex learned quickly how advantageous it was to truly understand his students’ ways of thinking and shape his curricula to them. He incorporates this experience in Learning Company’s approach, which produces exceptional outcomes for an expanding group of top performers.
Alex has lived for 18 months in the Middle East and is a published writer on foreign affairs, with his work featured in the print edition of the Israeli newspaper Haaretz and numerous journals.
